What is AlojARTE

A lojARTE is a sketchbook with a collection of freehand drawings and sketches of many of the hotel rooms where I have stayed so far on this long trip around Asia.

Actually, the first time I drew the hotel room where I was staying was back in 2005 and it was just a pass time on a rainy afternoon. I didn’t know then that some years later I’d be travelling for months and the pass time would become almost an obsession.

These drawings also represent a kind of ‘liberation’ from the demands of technical plan drawing while remaining true to the proportions and to the objects contained in each room.
